Aircraft A&P Mechanic - Line Maintenance

AAR is the place of choice to build an inspiring career. Perform aircraft maintenance, MEL, CDL, NEF deferrals and accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery. Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft. Swing Shift: 3:30pm to 2:00am ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards. Perform maintenance tasks with Airline Maintenance Control supervision. Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, AMM, OHM, SRM and MEL Manual proficiently. Effectively interact with customer representatives. Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) certificates (A&P). Inspect aircraft for defects, such as fuel/oil leaks, electrical, hydraulic, and pressurization systems malfunctions. Must be able to measure accurately with ruler, dial calipers and depth micrometers. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of two years related experience and or training. Must have an airframe (A), and powerplant (P) certificates (A&P). Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able pass a 10 year background check for Airport Terminal Badging. Frequent ly : Lifting ≤ 40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. W ork ing above chest - level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. B ending, twisting of torso, twisting and/ o r pressure w ith wrist / hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 min s . Vision with / without correction; near <20", far >20', and basic depth perception (shapes). W orking at elevated heights ≥ 4 ', working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and en ergized parts. Occasional ly : Lifting and/or carry ≤ 50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull < 50 lbs., work in wet conditions. SCREENING REQUIREMENTS Employment will be contingent on clearing a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, 3 -year employment verification, 2-year DOT verification, and education verification . These screening requirements must clear prior to the start date . Candidate must possess U.S. work authorization and pass E-Verify within 3 business days of start date. Must qualify for a Will Rogers World Airport badge within 30 days from start date.
